An intuitive painter, Nella was born, raised and educated in Italy. Now a New Englander, Nella’s artistic reference lies undeniably in her European roots. Working primarily with oil, Nella uses a process of layering & scraping, finished with a final cold wax application, to achieve the distinctive rich and aged look of her canvases.
Nella is an artist member of the National Association of Women Artists -NYC, Allied Artists of America, NY, NY, Rockport Art Association, North Shore Art Association, Cambridge Art Association and President of Andover’s Artist Guild.
Her work hangs in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada, Italy, France, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.
